CRM 2011 – Recently visited items = Favourites/Bookmarks

The Customer Effective blog which is excellent by the way has recently had an article about the improved navigation abilities in CRM.

I won’t bother going through them because this article does that already so please go to the blog and read about it.

I have been using CRM 2011 for a few months now and I would certainly say it is certainly quicker to navigate around CRM, compared to CRM 4 there are shortcuts everywhere.

The main features I like is the Ribbon quickly changes to allow you to add new/existing items when ever you click on an entity.

It also has the recently visited items, which is on the top left next to the house.  This feature is really useful once you get use to the item.

I think people would understand how useful the Recently Visited items were if they renamed it Favourites or bookmarks.   The tab does display recently visited but it also allows you to pin the recently items, which basically means you can create favourites and you can get anywhere in CRM within 2 clicks.

I also like the way it splits the recently visited into Entities and Views.

There are lots of other improved UI but my favourite is the Recently Visited Items
